The rooms at JJ Inn range from a 22 m² room with a king bed and a single bed for up to three guests to a superior room sleeping up to four and a deluxe room for up to three. Rooms can have air conditioning, a private bathroom, a flat-screen TV and a telephone, depending on the room.

The guesthouse sits about 340 m from the beach. Kata Beach, the neighbouring bay along the same coast road, is 1.1 km away, and the Big Buddha, a large white seated statue on the hills above the island, is 1.8 km from the guesthouse. Taxis and songthaews are the usual way to get around the area, and they make it easy to reach the sights further afield.

Wat Chalong, the best-known Buddhist temple on Phuket, is 4.5 km away, so a day can combine the Big Buddha, the temple and the beaches of Kata and Karon. Patong, with its beach and nightlife, is further up the coast, and Phuket FantaSea, a cultural theme park with shows and dinner, is 13.7 km away. Evenings can be spent in Karon with a meal on the street or in Patong with its busier bars. Most of the sights in this part of the island are reached by taxi or songthaew from Karon, which keeps the planning of a full day simple.
