Jc Guesthouse

The rooms at Jc Guesthouse include 24 m² rooms with a nature view or a street view, one with a queen bed and one with a single bed for one guest, plus 15 m² rooms for up to three guests. Several rooms have air conditioning, and some have a private bathroom with a shower and toiletries.

Jc Guesthouse is in Phunphin, a district of Surat Thani province in southern Thailand. The area is local rather than a resort strip, with the feel of everyday life in a provincial town. Surat Thani is the usual gateway to Koh Samui and the nearby islands, and the province is also known for its national parks and inland lakes.

Maluan Station is 1.6 km away and Surat Thani Airport is 3.6 km, so these are the main points for arrivals by train or by air. The Surat Thani Night Market, 16.2 km away, is the place to go for evening food stalls and local goods. Further afield, Wat Phra Borommathat Chaiya Worawihan in Chaiya, 25.6 km away, is a historic temple worth a visit. A longer excursion inland is the Ratchaprapha Dam, 44.6 km away, which holds a large reservoir.

A good day starts with the temple in Chaiya and ends at the evening market back in Surat Thani, both reached by road. The temple is a good place to spend a morning, and the night market is busy in the evening with street food stalls and local shopping. For a slower day, the coast and the islands are the main draw, and the guesthouse is a base for an onward journey.
