A town day could start at Wat Phothawas and the City Pillar Shrine, continue to Koh Lamphu Public Park beside the river, and end at the night market. The Tapee River viewpoint and the Surat Thani bus station are also in the area, and a ferry terminal for Ko Tao is nearby. Bicycles can be hired at the guesthouse for shorter rides around the streets.
