Patong Beach, 6.3 km away, is livelier, with bars and water sports. The Big Buddha Phuket, a large white marble statue on a hill, is 15.3 km away, and Chaithararam Temple, known as Wat Chalong, is one of the island's most important temples.

Phuket International Airport is 16.8 km away, and the resort offers an airport transfer. The main sights are spread across the island, so a car or a taxi makes the trip easier. A good day could begin with a morning on Kamala Beach, continue to the Big Buddha and Wat Chalong, and end with an evening at the Kamala Night Market, an evening market with food stalls and local goods.
