Hugs Guesthouse

Rooms at Hugs Guesthouse sleep from two to four guests. Air conditioning is available in several rooms, and rooms can also have a fan, a refrigerator, a coffee and tea maker and linens. Beds include a queen bed, a double bed and a king bed with a single bed, depending on the room.

Some rooms have a city view, and some have a private bathroom with a shower, an electric kettle and a flat-screen TV. Wi-Fi is free in all rooms, so guests can get online from their room.

Pra Ae is a small village area on Koh Lanta, and the beach is known as Long Beach. Hugs Guesthouse is about 210 m from the sand, and small guesthouses, bars and minimarkets sit close by, with a 7 Eleven 250 m away and an ATM at 150 m, so the basics are easy to reach on foot. The beach at Long Beach is the closest to the guesthouse, so it is the first place to try.

Other beaches are further along the island: Klong Dao Beach and Kantiang Bay both have sandy shores, and Khao Mai Kaew Cave is a limestone cave in the hills. Lanta Old Town, 10.1 km away, is the island's old settlement, and Khlong Chak Waterfall makes a day trip inland. Koh Lanta is an island, so the nearest airport, Krabi International Airport, is on the mainland and the last stretch of the journey is by boat. Once on the island, the roads connect the villages and beaches, and a scooter or a songthaew is a common way to move between them.

A good day starts with Mu Ko Lanta National Park, which protects forest and marine areas around the island, and continues with a swim at Klong Dao Beach and a walk through Lanta Old Town in the late afternoon.
