Hub Of Joys Hostel offers dormitory accommodation, with single beds and bunk beds in mixed, female-only and male-only rooms. Rooms can have air conditioning, a locker, a hair dryer and a shared bathroom, and some have a street view while others have a mountain view.

Most rooms are for one guest, while one of the dormitories sleeps up to two. Bedding is either single beds or bunk beds, and one dormitory of 19 m² has three bunk beds. The sandy shore here, also called Long Beach, is 400 m away and is the closest beach to the hostel, and it can be reached on foot. The island is long and narrow, with beaches along its coast and a national park with forest and walking trails. Visitors coming from Krabi cross by ferry, so the crossing is part of the trip, and the island's roads run between the villages and the beaches.

Klong Dao Beach is 1.2 km away, another beach on the island. Sala Dan Pier, 3.9 km from the hostel, is the ferry terminal where boats from the mainland dock, and Lanta Old Town, the island's old village, is 11.4 km away. Krabi International Airport is 54.1 km away on the mainland, so the last leg of the journey to the hostel is by ferry.

Mu Ko Lanta National Park makes a full day out, with forest, beaches and walking trails. Diving, snorkelling and canoeing are offered at the hostel, and boats from Sala Dan Pier reach the surrounding islands, though rough seas in the rainy months can stop trips.
