In the village, Wat Panatnikhom is a Buddhist temple, and the Bang Niang Market is a local market close by.

A day here can start with a walk on Bang Niang Beach, continue to a waterfall in the national park and end at the local market. Boat trips to the Similan Islands depend on sea conditions, and boats do not always run during the rainy season. Bang Niang Beach is the closest beach to the hotel, so it is an easy first stop for a swim or a walk. Both a forest day and a sea day can be planned from the coast around Khao Lak.
