Havana Beach Resort

Rooms at Havana Beach Resort include garden-view rooms, sea-view rooms and rooms with a balcony or terrace. Some rooms have one king or queen bed, while others combine a queen or double bed with a single bed, and some sleep up to two guests and others up to three.

Several rooms have a private bathroom with a shower, a hair dryer and toiletries, and several also have air conditioning. Mini bars, refrigerators and electric kettles are found in some rooms, and a few rooms have a flat-screen TV or a telephone. The garden-view rooms look over the resort grounds, and the sea-view rooms face the water.

Facilities at Havana Beach Resort include an outdoor swimming pool and a children's swimming pool, plus a spa with a sauna and a hot tub, and massage. The grounds include a garden and a terrace. For active guests, diving, snorkelling, fishing, hiking, mini golf, bicycle rental and non-motorised water sports are offered, and tours can be arranged.

Dining options include a restaurant, a bar, a snack bar, room service, BBQ facilities and breakfast takeaway, and food delivery is available. A convenience store is on site, and laundry, dry cleaning and ironing services are offered. Currency exchange, luggage storage, a concierge and a safety deposit box are also available.

Babysitting service and kids meals are offered, and a doctor or nurse is on call. Facilities for disabled guests are available, and there is a shuttle service, a taxi service and car hire. Parking is free on site.

Thong Nai Pan Yai is a bay on Ko Pha-ngan, an island reached by boat, with a sandy beach along its curve and a small hamlet behind it. The beach is about 50 m from Havana Beach Resort, and the bay has a quieter feel than the island's busiest beach areas. It is a good choice for a beach stay away from the busiest stretches of the coast.

Wat Thong Nai Pan, a Buddhist temple with a pagoda, is 750 m away in the village area of the bay, and the Khao Lat Mai Kaeo hilltop, in the island's interior, is 1.2 km away. Than Prawet is a waterfall in the forest, and Ao Chaloklum Bay, with its own village and beach, lies further along the coast. Scooters and taxis are the usual way to reach the other bays, which are spread out across the island. Salad Beach, 9.8 km away, is a sandy beach further along the coast.

A day can begin on the sand at Thong Nai Pan Yai, continue to the pagoda, and end at the Than Prawet waterfall in the forest. For a change of scene, Salad Beach is a longer trip by road along the coast.
