Rooms at Happy Eight Resort include pool-view rooms and mountain-view rooms, and several of them measure 55 m². One room sleeps up to five guests, and the bed set-ups vary from room to room. The Big Buddha, 3.6 km from the resort, is a large white statue on the hills above Chalong, with wide views over the island. Chaithararam Temple, known as Wat Chalong, is 6 km away and is one of the most revered temples on the island. Rawai Pier, 2.8 km away, is where boats leave for trips to nearby islands.

A practical day could start with the Big Buddha and Wat Chalong in the morning, followed by a swim at Nai Harn, a walk along the pier at Rawai and a visit to the Rawai fish market, which sells fresh seafood and is a lively place to browse.
