The rooms at Hao Hostel Phuket range from a 35 m² Executive Room with a double bed to a Family Suite of 15 m² that sleeps up to eight guests in eight bunk beds. The Standard Room Mountain View has a queen bed, the Deluxe Mountain View Room has a double bed and the Deluxe Room has two single beds, and all three have a mountain view.

The Phuket Town Local Bus Station (Terminal 1) is 100 m away, so local buses are easy to pick up without a car. The Phuket Trickeye Museum, a museum of optical-illusion paintings, is 250 m away, and the Lard Yai Sunday Night Market is 600 m away. Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong), one of the island's most revered Buddhist temples, is 7.6 km away by road, so a car or taxi is the easiest way to reach it.

A good day could start with a visit to Wat Chalong and end with the night market if your visit falls on a Sunday. The Phuket Philatelic Museum and the Talad Kaset market are also close to the hostel, and the beaches of Patong and Kata are a drive away.
