Haad Son Resort

Room sizes at Haad Son Resort run from 24 m² to 80 m², and the views include garden, beach and partial ocean views. Beds range from single and double beds to king beds, several rooms have a balcony or terrace, and one room sleeps up to four guests.

Several rooms have air conditioning and a flat-screen TV, and some have a private entrance, a whirlpool bathtub or a mini bar. Electric kettles and blackout curtains are fitted in some rooms too, Most rooms have a private bathroom with a shower, and the Standard Quadruple sleeps four guests on two king beds.

Haad Son is on Ko Pha-ngan, an island in the Gulf of Thailand with no airport and no bridge to the mainland, so most visitors arrive by boat. The resort sits close to its own stretch of sand, and the coast around it offers beaches, bays and gardens, with diving and snorkelling close at hand. The coast here has several small beaches, and the island's interior is hilly.

Haad Son Beach is 50 m away, and the Secret Beach Viewpoint is 250 m away. Blue Horizon Diving is also close by. Ao Chaloklum Bay, a village bay, lies 4.7 km away, and the Wang Sai waterfall is 3.1 km away. The nearest airport is Samui Airport on Ko Samui, 27.1 km away across the water, so the last part of the journey is by boat.

A good day could start with a swim at Haad Son Beach, continue with a dive through Blue Horizon Diving nearby, and end with the pool and a meal at the resort. The resort also offers snorkelling and non-motorised water sports, and the Wang Sai waterfall makes a straightforward outing for the afternoon. The Samma Karuna garden is nearby too, so the day can mix beaches with gardens.
