Green Island Guesthouse

Its long, sandy beach is the centre of daily life, with street-food stalls and small shops along the roads behind it, and the area has a calmer feel than neighbouring Patong. Patong, Karon and Kata are close enough to one another to visit on the same day, and Nai Harn Beach is further around the coast.

Green Island Guesthouse is 300 m from Karon Beach, and the Karon Night Market is also close by. Kata Beach is a little farther along at 2.7 km, and the hilltop Big Buddha Phuket, a large white statue, is 3.1 km away. Chaithararam Temple, known as Wat Chalong, is 4.5 km away and is one of Phuket's most revered temples. Phuket FantaSea, the cultural theme park with its evening show, is farther away.

Phuket International Airport is 29.1 km away, and the guesthouse offers an airport transfer and a shuttle service, with car hire also available. A good day could start at Big Buddha, continue at Wat Chalong and end with a swim at Kata Beach. Bangla Road in Patong is the best-known nightlife street on the island, and it is an easy place to finish an evening out.
