Grandmom Place

Grandmom Place offers rooms with a king bed or a double bed, from standard double rooms to a family room sleeping up to six guests. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms. Several rooms have a city view, one has a lagoon view, and some have a balcony or terrace.

Grandmom Place is in Krabi Town, the provincial capital on Thailand's Andaman coast, in the Pak Nam area. The mood is that of a working town, with ferry piers, markets and small local businesses close together, rather than a beach resort. Guests who want to be near the water and the everyday life of the town will find it a practical place to stay.

Chaofa Pier, a ferry terminal 150 m away, serves boats from the town's waterfront, and Krabi Walking Street, an evening street of stalls and shops, is a short distance away. The Krabi Weekend Night Market is also nearby, and its stalls are a lively place to browse after dark. Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea) lies 6.9 km away, a hilltop temple reached by a long staircase, while Railay Beach, 10.4 km away, is usually reached by longtail boat and is known for its limestone cliffs.

A good day could mix the Andaman Art Museum, which is 1.1 km away, with a boat trip to Railay from one of the piers and an evening among the night markets. Krabi International Airport, 8 km away, is the closest airport. Boat trips can be disrupted by rough seas during the rainy season, so the timing of an island trip can change.
