Ao Nang Beach is 650 m away, and the boats to Railay Beach, 3.6 km away, and Poda Island, 7.4 km away, leave from the bay, with Railay usually reached by longtail boat. The Ao-Nang Landmark Night Market is 600 m away, and the Ao Nang Beach Pier is the place to catch boats to the islands.

A good day can start with a longtail boat to Railay, with its limestone cliffs and beaches, and finish with a walk to the night market. Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea), 15 km away, is a trip by road from the town. Evenings are easy to fill in town, with the night market and the food stalls along the beach road. When the sea is rough, boat trips to the islands can be cancelled, which happens more often in the rainy months.
