Garrya Tongsai Bay Samui offers pool villas, seafront and hillside suites, and a cottage suite. Several have a sea view and a bathtub, and one has an ocean view. Some rooms have a balcony or terrace, and rooms can have a mini bar, a coffee and tea maker, blackout curtains and an in-room safe box.

Garrya Tongsai Bay Samui sits in Choeng Mon, a coastal area on Koh Samui where a quiet bay and small beaches make a calm base for a holiday on the island. The old fishing village of Bophut is close by, with its walking street of shops and restaurants. The resort's private beach gives guests direct access to the sand, and from the beach they can try snorkelling and non-motorised water sports.

Choeng Mon Beach is 100 m from the resort, and Thongson Bay Beach is also close by. Wat Plai Laem, a temple with a large Guanyin statue, is in the surrounding area, and the Big Buddha, a large seated statue on a hillside, is 2.3 km away. For the wider island, Samui Airport is 3.9 km from the resort, and the Bangrak Pier ferry terminal is nearby. Samui Elephant Sanctuary Bophut, which is open to visitors, is also nearby.

Visiting the temples and the Big Buddha makes a good morning, with the beach for the afternoon. In the evening, the Fisherman's Village Bophut Walking Street, 5.7 km away, is a lively place to eat and browse, and the Night Market, 5.5 km away, is another evening stop. Planning one outing a day leaves time for the pool and the beach at the resort.
