Ao Nang is a beach town on the Andaman coast of Krabi province, a long bay with limestone cliffs rising behind the sand and a busy beach road lined with tour offices, bars and food stalls. The resort sits on Ao Nang Beach, so the sand and the town's evening life are both a short walk away.

Noppharathara Beach lies 50 m from the hotel, and Ao Nang Night Market, a busy evening market of food stalls and local goods, is 350 m away. Railay Beach, 3.6 km away, is reached only by longtail boat from Ao Nang and is known for its limestone cliffs and Phra Nang Cave. Further afield, the Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea), 15.3 km away, is a hillside temple climbed by a long flight of steps, and the Hong Islands, about 40 km away, are a group of lagoon islands visited on day trips by boat.

A good day out is a boat trip to Poda and Tup islands, which leave from the piers at Ao Nang, or a visit to the Emerald Pool, a natural pool in the forest inland. Boat trips can be cancelled when the sea is rough, mostly in the rainy months. The beach road is easy to walk, while Krabi town and the airport are reached by road.
