Chalong is a district in the south of Phuket, around Chalong Bay, where temples, markets and local streets sit away from the island's busiest beach strips. Visitors who want to see the main sights of Phuket can do so from a quieter part of the island, with a garden setting at the property itself. Phuket Town, the island's main centre, is also reachable by road.

Chaithararam Temple, known as Wat Chalong, is 1.1 km away and is one of the most revered Buddhist temples on the island. Chalong Pier, the departure point for boat trips to nearby islands, is 3.7 km away, and the Big Buddha stands on a hilltop 4.5 km away with wide views over the hills. Karon Beach, on the west coast, is 5.8 km away, while Phuket International Airport is 29.1 km away. The Phuket Botanic Garden lies close to the property, and taxi service and car hire are available there.

A good day could start at Wat Chalong in the morning, continue to the Big Buddha for the views, and end with a swim at Karon Beach. The Baan Chinpracha museum, a Sino-Portuguese mansion in Phuket Town, is worth a visit, and the botanic garden makes a quiet stop before or after the temples.
