First and Frang Hotel

The rooms at First and Frang Hotel sleep up to four guests, with layouts that include double, queen, single and bunk beds. Several rooms have a private bathroom with a shower, and a few have a bathtub, air conditioning or a private entrance.

The Family Deluxe Room, at 26 m², sleeps four on two queen beds and has a garden view. The Deluxe Suite Room has a city view and a queen bed, and the Deluxe Double Room with Bath has its own private entrance and air conditioning. Several of the rooms have a telephone and a flat-screen TV, and the rooms with a bathtub are the Superior Double, the Standard 2 Single beds, the Family Deluxe Room and the Deluxe Double Room with Bath.

Room service and daily housekeeping are offered, and laundry service and luggage storage are also available. Taxi service is also offered, and the public areas have air conditioning. The hotel has a shared lounge/TV area, a terrace, a kitchen and a shared kitchen, and Wi-Fi in public areas.

For activities, the hotel offers tours, diving, snorkelling, fishing, hiking and non-motorised water sports, and there are bicycles and car hire for getting around the island. Dining options include a coffee shop, BBQ facilities and a happy hour, and the hotel also has a garden, a massage service and a shuttle service. Thong Sala is the main town and ferry port of Ko Pha-ngan, the island in the Gulf of Thailand, and it has a lived-in, practical character that feels busier than the quieter bays further along the coast. Shops, markets and Muay Thai gyms are part of daily life here, so guests who want the island's services close at hand will find them in the streets around the hotel. Thong Sala pier is the island's main ferry port, linking it with the mainland and nearby islands.

Thong Sala Beach is about 200 m from the hotel, and Ao Bang Charu, another beach, is about 700 m away. Wat Rat Charoen pagoda is about 750 m away, and the Chinese Temple, Kobra Muay Thai Stadium and Jomhod Muay Thai are also close by. Ko Pha-ngan Pier, the ferry terminal, is about 1.6 km off, while Salad Beach, at about 8.9 km, is the next beach to explore for a longer day out.

A good day can start with a walk to Thong Sala Beach, then a visit to the HTMS Phangan 713 Warship Museum, a museum dedicated to a Thai navy warship, or a browse at the Fresh Market and Phantip Market in town. Ao Chaloklum Bay and Thong Nai Pan Yai Beach are further afield, and Ko Pha-ngan is an island, so any trip off it ends by boat.
