Fern House Retreat

Several rooms at Fern House Retreat look out onto the garden. The Standard Double Room measures 20 m² and the Small Double Room 18 m²; each has a king bed, air conditioning and a private bathroom with a shower. Rooms here sleep up to five guests or have a double bed, so groups of different sizes can find a room that fits.

Across the rooms, the equipment includes toiletries, towels, a refrigerator and a mosquito net in several of them. Some rooms have a desk and a clothes rack, and one room sleeps up to four guests.

Guests can use the outdoor swimming pool, and the garden and a terrace are on site. Free parking is available on site, and valet parking is also offered.

Fern House Retreat sits in Chalong, a town in the south of Phuket, where the streets are quieter than the main beach towns. The area is known for its Muay Thai gyms, and several of them are within a few hundred metres of the resort, which appeals to guests who want to train or simply watch. The pace is slower than in the busy beach towns, with local shops and food stalls along the main roads, and the beaches of the west coast are a drive away.

Wat Chalong, one of the island's most important Buddhist temples, is about 1.2 km away and is a good morning visit. The Big Buddha, a large white statue on the hills, is about 4.5 km from the property. For the beaches, Kata is about 6.3 km away, and Patong, the busiest beach resort on the island, is 7.1 km. Chalong Pier, the boat departure point for many island trips, is also nearby.

Phuket International Airport is 29 km away. A good day could begin at Wat Chalong, continue to the Big Buddha and end on Kata Beach. A car or scooter is the easiest way to reach the beaches and the rest of the island from the resort.
