The Khao Lak-Lam Ru National Park, 4.6 km away, has forest trails, and Ton Chong Fa Waterfall lies inland. Lampi Waterfall is also close to the hotel. A car or taxi is useful for reaching the inland sights.

A good day starts with a walk along Bang Niang Beach, followed by a visit to the tsunami museum and the afternoon market. The Similan National Park is 10.4 km away, and boat trips from the coast go to the islands, though the sea can be rough during the rainy months and that can affect the boats.
