Elite Guesthouse

Rooms at Elite Guesthouse sleep up to three guests, and several have a private bathroom with a shower. Rooms can have air conditioning, a refrigerator, a desk and free Wi-Fi, and some have a seating area or satellite and cable channels on the TV.

Beds include a King bed in some rooms and single beds in others, and a few rooms come with a bathtub or a mirror. Extra beds depend on the room, and children aged 2 to 12 can stay free using the existing bedding. One room is assigned on arrival, so the exact room is set at check-in.

Patong is Phuket's best-known beach town, on the island's west coast, with a busy seafront, a lively nightlife scene and a mix of markets, bars and restaurants. Elite Guesthouse is in this busy district, close to the sea and to the evening action, so the beach and the nightlife are both a short distance from the rooms.

Patong Beach, the main stretch of sand, is 200 m away, and Bangla Road, the street of bars and nightclubs, is 300 m from the guesthouse. Jungceylon Shopping Center, a large mall with shops, is 450 m away, and the Chinese Temple sits a short way off in the town. Phuket International Airport is 24.5 km away, the main link for travellers arriving by air. Kalim Beach lies north of Patong, and Sacred Heart Church and the Erawan Shrine are close by.

A day can start on the sand and end on Bangla Road, and Patong is also a base for trips to the other beaches on the island, such as Kata and Karon, which lie further south. For a change of scene, Big Buddha Phuket, the large seated statue on a hilltop, is 7.3 km away. The night market around Banzaan Fresh Market is a good place for an evening meal, and Phuket Town, the island's old centre with Sino-Portuguese shophouses, is a useful outing for the afternoon.
