Eco Hostel

Eco Hostel's rooms include shared dormitories with bunk beds as well as private rooms, from triple rooms to a family room that sleeps up to seven guests. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, and several of them have a city view.

Rooms can have air conditioning, blackout curtains and a flat-screen TV, and some have a private bathroom with shower, hair dryer and toiletries. Rooms can also have a reading light, a sofa and a clothes rack.

The hostel provides daily housekeeping, luggage storage and lockers, and it has business facilities. Lockers and luggage storage let you keep bags while you explore the town. Express and private check-in and check-out are also available, and English and Thai are spoken.

Tours can be arranged, and there is a taxi service and a ticket service. A convenience store, shops and cash withdrawal are also available, and air conditioning is provided in the public areas. Guests can also use the hostel's luggage storage and lockers.

Free parking is available, and there is also parking nearby. Wi-Fi is available in the public areas, and the rooms have a TV and a reading light.

Phangnga Road runs through Phuket Town, the island's old administrative centre, where Sino-Portuguese shophouses, small museums and Chinese temples stand close together. The old streets show the town's mixed Chinese and Portuguese history in their architecture. The local bus station is a few hundred metres from the hostel. Phuket is linked to the mainland by bridge, and the island's beach resorts are a drive away, with Patong and Karon 11.3 km and 12.1 km from the hostel.

Museums and markets are close by. The Phuket Trickeye Museum is 550 m away and Talad Kaset, a local market, is 600 m away, while the Peranakan Museum and Sansook Temple are also nearby. Chaithararam Temple, known as Wat Chalong, is 7.9 km away and is one of the island's most important temples. The Sansook Temple and the Peranakan Museum are also close enough to combine with a walk through the old town.

A day in town could start at the Trickeye Museum and the Peranakan Museum, then walk among the Sino-Portuguese shophouses to the Plein Poa Night Market in the evening. For a day out, Wat Chalong and the Big Buddha are worth a visit, and the beaches of Patong and Karon are a longer drive.
