Echo Koh Tao

Rooms at Echo Koh Tao range from dormitory beds to double rooms, and each room includes a shower. Some rooms have an ocean view, and one double room has a balcony or terrace that looks out over the sea.

The dormitory rooms have bunk beds, and the double room with a balcony has a queen bed. Guests can also use the garden and the shared lounge and TV area. Between days of diving, snorkelling or hiking, guests can return to a room with a shower.

Echo Koh Tao offers free parking and an airport transfer, and a bar and restaurants are on site. The hotel also has a garden and a private beach.

For activities, guests can go diving, snorkelling, fishing and hiking, and billiards is available. Tours can be arranged, and a kids meal is offered.

Echo Koh Tao stands in Mae Haad, the village at the ferry port of Ko Tao, where boats from Koh Samui and the mainland come in. The village is a busy harbour area with restaurants and dive shops, and it makes a practical base for guests who come to dive, snorkel or take a boat trip around the island. Guests who arrive by sea can walk up from the pier, since the hotel is only 100 m away.

Haad Ao Mae, a beach 250 m away, is the closest stretch of sand, and Sairee Beach, 700 m away, is the island's best-known beach, with a long line of dive schools and bars along its edge. Welcome to Koh Tao Turtle Monument stands nearby, and Koh Nang Yuan, a small island reached by boat, is known for its snorkelling and viewpoint, 3.8 km away.

A good day could start with a snorkel or dive from the island's beaches, followed by a walk along Sairee Beach in the afternoon and a boat trip to Koh Nang Yuan. Tours can be arranged for those who prefer a guided day. For many visitors the sea is the main reason to come, and the hotel's private beach is a place to start or end the day.
