The rooms at Dusit Thani Krabi Beach Resort include sea-view and garden-view rooms, twin and king set-ups, and a one-bedroom suite of 79 m² that sleeps up to four guests. Several rooms measure 42 m² and sleep up to four guests as well, with bathrooms fitted with bathtub grab bars and adapted baths in some rooms.

The slower pace is one reason the area appeals to those who want time on the sand. Krabi International Airport is 25.3 km away.

Ao Nang, about 7 km away, is the main beach town in the area, with a night market and plenty of places to eat. From there, longtail boats run to Railay Beach, 9.8 km from the resort, a peninsula of limestone cliffs reached mainly by water, where Phra Nang Cave is one of the best-known sights. Closer by, Koh Kwang Beach is 700 m away along the coast.

A day out could combine the Krabi Elephant Shelter and the Pha Nam Yod waterfall with a boat trip to the Hong Islands, a group of lagoon islands 37.5 km away. Trips to the Hong Islands are day excursions by boat, and the sea can be rougher during the rainy months. Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea) is also worth a visit for a half-day outing, and back at the resort the pool and the spa offer a quieter finish to the day.
