The village's lanes are lined with small shops and restaurants, and the sea is close by.

Big Buddha, a large Buddha statue on a hill on the island, is 4.1 km away, and Maenam Beach, a long beach on the island's coast, is 3.2 km away. Samui Airport is on the island itself, so the last part of a trip from the airport is by road.
