Diamond Place Aonang has rooms with different views: a pool view in the Deluxe Suite, a city view in the Superior Double Room, and standard rooms with no windows. Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea) is 4.8 km away, a hillside temple reached by a long staircase, and the Mangrove Boardwalk runs through a mangrove forest in town. The bus terminal is close by, and a Muay Thai stadium is next to the hotel.

A good day could begin at the Ban Talat Kao fresh market, continue along the mangrove boardwalk and the pagoda, and end with the climb up to Tiger Cave Temple. The Krabi Weekend Night Market, 2.6 km away, is open at weekends. Around the fresh market and the night market, street-food stalls and small local shops are part of everyday life in town. Boat trips to islands such as Poda and Tup depart from piers in the area.
