Further afield, Phuket FantaSea, 17.1 km away, is a cultural theme park with shows, and Patong Beach, 21.6 km away, is the island's best-known resort beach, with its nightlife. The Big Buddha, 29.8 km away, is a large white statue on a hilltop, and Chaithararam Temple, also known as Wat Chalong, is one of the most revered temples on Phuket.

A full day could begin at Nai Yang Beach, move to Wat Chalong and the Big Buddha in the afternoon, and end with a show at Phuket FantaSea or an evening in Patong. The shoreline at Nai Yang suits a slow morning, while the resort beaches on the island are busier. Those who prefer to stay close can spend the day at the outdoor swimming pool and in the garden.
