For nightlife, Patong Beach is 5.6 km away, the island's busiest resort area. Further afield, Chaithararam Temple, known as Wat Chalong, is 13.4 km away and is one of the most revered temples on Phuket, and the Big Buddha statue near Chalong is 14.6 km away.

A full day could start with a swim at Kamala Beach, continue with the temples and the Big Buddha in the afternoon, and end with street food at Kamala Night Market. The temples and the Big Buddha are a drive away, so a taxi or hired car makes the trip easier. A swim at Kamala Beach fits in easily before or after the sightseeing.
