A relaxed day could start at the Sea Gypsies Fish Market, then continue to Nai Harn Beach, climb to the Big Buddha and finish at Wat Chalong. The seaside village offers a quieter base for exploring the south of the island, with the beach a short walk from the guesthouse. Phuket is a large island, so most trips from Rawai are made by car, scooter or taxi, and the drives to the beaches on the west coast take considerably longer than the short trips around Rawai itself.
