For a day out, spend the morning on Karon Beach, 3.1 km away, a long stretch of sand with a quieter atmosphere than Patong, then visit Big Buddha in the afternoon for the views over the island. Back in Patong, the evening belongs to the restaurants and night stalls of the town, a short distance from the resort's pool. After dark, the streets of Bangla Road are close to the hotel.
