Further along the coast, Karon Beach is 2.5 km away, and the Big Buddha Phuket, a large Buddha statue on a hilltop, is 6.1 km away.

A day could begin at the beach, continue to Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong) to the south, one of the island's most revered temples, and end on Bangla Road. The Dragon Night Market is a short walk from the resort, and in the evening its food stalls are a good place to eat. Karon Beach is the next bay south along the coast, so it makes a natural stop on a day trip around the island.
