Chunut House Resort

All rooms at Chunut House Resort measure 30 m² and have air conditioning. They are offered for two to four guests, and the beds range from single and double beds to queen beds, with a sofa bed in some layouts. Each room has a private bathroom with a shower.

Several rooms have a balcony or terrace, and some have a garden view over the grounds. Depending on the room, you will also find a flat-screen TV, toiletries and a mini bar, with free Wi-Fi in several of them. Guests also have access to the outdoor and indoor swimming pools, the garden and the restaurant on the grounds.

The grounds include an outdoor and an indoor swimming pool, a private beach and a garden. Food and drink are served at the restaurant, the bar, the coffee shop and the poolside bar, and a buffet breakfast is offered.

The 24-hour front desk is open round the clock, and room service is available. Laundry and dry cleaning services are offered, with luggage storage, currency exchange and safety deposit boxes. Diving, snorkelling and fishing are also available, tours can be arranged, and babysitting and kids' meals can be arranged for families. The garden and the private beach are part of the resort grounds, and the restaurant, the bar and the poolside bar are all on site.

Ton Sai Bay is the most lively part of Ko Phi Phi, with guesthouses, dive shops and bars along the village streets. Boats from the mainland arrive here, so the bay is the first part of the island most travellers reach. The ferry pier sits at the edge of the bay, 500 m from the resort, and the village has a market and pharmacies close by.

Ko Phi Phi has no road connection to the mainland, so the island's sights are reached on foot or by longtail boat. The Koh Phi Phi Viewpoint is 800 m away, a short climb with views over the bays, and Long Beach is 1.5 km away. Loh Dalum Bay, the neighbouring bay, has its own beach. Monkey Beach, 1.9 km away, is reached by boat, and Viking Cave, 5.4 km away, is a limestone cave usually seen on boat trips around the bay.

A good day here starts with the climb to the viewpoint, then a boat trip to the beaches and caves further out, with tours that can be arranged from the resort. Diving and snorkelling are also among the activities close by, and Reggae Bar and Breakers Bar are among the bars near the resort. The sea can be rougher in the rainy months, which affects boat trips.
