Chook Dee Resort

All rooms at Chook Dee Resort have air conditioning and a private bathroom with a shower, and each room sleeps up to two guests. The rooms are bungalows and apartments measuring between 18 and 28 m², with a queen bed or two single beds depending on the room. Several of them have a sea view.

Some rooms have a balcony or terrace, and one apartment has a kitchenette and a separate dining area. The rooms also have an electric kettle, toiletries and towels, and some have a closet and a clothes rack. A refrigerator is in the rooms as well.

Chook Dee Resort is in Ban Tai, a village on the island of Ko Pha-ngan in Surat Thani province, where village life sits close to the sea. Ko Pha-ngan has no airport of its own, and the Samui Airport is 17.9 km away across the water on Ko Samui. The area is a relaxed place to stay, with a beach, a pagoda and a night market nearby and the island's other bays further away.

Haad Baan Tai beach is 950 m from the resort, and Wat Khao Tham, a pagoda, is 550 m away. You can walk to both, and the pagoda is the closer of the two, so it is the easiest first stop. The Night Market, 1 km away, is an evening market in the village area. The Fresh Market, 3.2 km away, is the place for fresh produce, and free parking is available at the resort for guests who arrive by road from the pier.

A good day can start with a swim at Haad Baan Tai, continue with a visit to Wat Khao Tham, and end at the Night Market in the evening. For the island's other bays, which are further away, plan a longer day out so the trip does not feel rushed.
