Chino Town at Yaowarat Phuket

Air conditioning is in every room at Chino Town at Yaowarat Phuket. The rooms include a double room, twin rooms and family rooms that sleep three, four or five guests, and some look out over a garden or the city.

Room sizes include 12 m² for the Standard Twin Bedroom and 40 m² for the Standard Family 4 People room. Several rooms have a private bathroom with a shower and toiletries, and some have a desk, a window or a seating area. Free WiFi is available in all rooms. The Family Room 4 and the Family triple room both have a city view, and the Standard Double Room has a queen bed.

Chino Town sits on Yaowarat Road in Talad Neau, in the old Sino-Portuguese quarter of Phuket Town, the island's main town. The streets around it are lined with shophouses, small museums and temples, and the area is best explored on foot, one street at a time. It is a quieter base than the beach resorts, which are a drive away, and the town itself is the reason to stay here.

Within 200 m is the Phuket Old Town area, and the Sino-Portugese Houses and the Phuket Thai Hua Museum are both 100 m away, so the old streets are close at hand. In the evening, the Lard Yai Sunday Night Market brings food stalls and shopping to the streets nearby. Further out, Chaithararam Temple, also known as Wat Chalong, is 7.1 km away and is one of the most important temples on the island.

A good day could start with a walk through the old town, with its museums and Sino-Portugese Houses, followed by a drive out to Wat Chalong. Patong Beach, 10.2 km away, is the place to go for a day at the sea, and the Phuket Walking Street makes a good finish to the day with its food and shops.
