Chaweng Bay View Resort

Every room at Chaweng Bay View Resort has air conditioning, and the rooms measure between 36 and 50 m². They sleep from two to five guests and offer ocean, sea, partial sea, nature or garden views, depending on the room.

Bed set-ups run from a double bed to a super king bed, with a choice of set-ups in two of the rooms, and the two-bedroom floor has two bathrooms and sleeps up to five. Several rooms have a balcony or terrace, and some offer a bathtub, a whirlpool bathtub or a dishwasher. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, and the resort also has free parking on site.

The resort has an outdoor swimming pool and an indoor swimming pool, a hot tub and a garden, plus a children's swimming pool. Restaurants, a bar, a poolside bar and a coffee shop cover eating and drinking, with room service and BBQ facilities as well, and breakfast offers a la carte and Asian options.

Free parking is available on site, with valet parking too. The resort also offers snorkelling and tours, and there is an airport transfer and a shuttle service, as well as car hire, taxi service and bicycle rental. Laundry, babysitting, luggage storage, currency exchange and concierge services are available, and there are facilities for disabled guests at the resort.

Chaweng is the busiest beach area of Koh Samui, a long stretch of sand lined with shops, bars and restaurants that stay lively into the evening. The resort is on Chaweng road, within that area, so the beach and the evening streets are close at hand.

Nora Beach is 500 m away, and the Night Market is 1.8 km away, a good place for street food and browsing once the sun goes down. Wat Plai Laem, a temple with a large Guanyin statue, is 2.9 km away, and the Big Buddha, a large seated statue on a hill above the sea, is 3.2 km off. The Samui Elephant Sanctuary in Bophut is also nearby. The airport is on the island itself, and the resort offers an airport transfer, so arriving does not involve a boat from another island.

A good day could start at Wat Plai Laem and the Big Buddha, then continue to the Night Market in the evening. For a change of scene, the Na Muang Waterfall is 12.1 km away in the island's interior. Back in Chaweng, the evening streets are close to the resort, and the Night Market is a good place to end the day with street food and a stroll along the stalls.
