Chanalai Hillside Resort, Karon Beach

The rooms at Chanalai Hillside Resort, Karon Beach measure between 36 and 40 m² and sleep from three to five guests. Several have a view of the pool, including the Deluxe Pool Access and the Superior Room with Pool View, and some have a bathtub in the private bathroom. A few rooms offer a choice of bed set-ups.

Karon is one of the main beach areas on Phuket, a long stretch of sand with restaurants, shops and guesthouses along the road behind it. It has a quieter feel than the larger resort town of Patong, and the beach is popular for sunbathing, beach volleyball and walks along the shoreline.

The resort is about 400 m from Karon Beach, and Karon View Point is close by. The Karon Night Market, the Karon Temple Market and Wat Suwan Khiri Khet are also nearby, and the Golden Fisherman monument stands near the beach. Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong), one of Phuket's best-known temples, is 4.6 km away, and the Big Buddha Phuket, a large white statue on a hilltop, is 3.6 km away.

A good day could start with Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong) and the Big Buddha, then return to Karon for dinner and an evening stroll along the beach. For nightlife, Bangla Road in Patong is the best-known street on the island, a taxi ride away. Phuket FantaSea, a large show and theme park, is also a short journey away, and tours can be arranged for trips further afield. Phuket International Airport is 28.6 km away, and the resort offers an airport transfer.
