Close by is Wat Chalong, 1.3 km away, one of Phuket's best-known temples and a good place to start a morning. The Big Buddha stands on a hill 4.6 km away, one of the island's best-known landmarks. Chalong Pier, 3.8 km away, is where boats leave for trips to the islands around Phuket.

Chalong Beach is 4.4 km away, and Karon and Kata beaches lie further along the road, while Patong and its Bangla Road nightlife are a longer drive. For a day out, visit the temple and the Big Buddha in the morning, then head to Chalong Pier if you want to see the islands by boat. Several Muay Thai gyms are within a few hundred metres, so training is close at hand. Phuket International Airport is 29 km away, and an airport transfer is offered.
