Chalong Chalet Resort

Chalong Chalet Resort offers junior suites, executive deluxe suites, a double room and a one-bedroom villa, measuring from 49 to 116 m² and each sleeping up to three guests. Every room has an electric kettle, bathrobes, a hair dryer, a mirror, towels and wireless internet access.

Some rooms overlook the sea or the ocean, others the garden, and several have a whirlpool bathtub or a bathtub in a private bathroom. Some suites offer a choice of bed set-ups, and the rest have a king or double bed. The one-bedroom villa covers 116 m² and overlooks the garden, with a bathtub in its private bathroom.

Chalong is a district of Phuket island away from the main beach strips, known for its temples, its local markets and its quieter streets. A hospital, a convenience store and an ATM are all close to the resort, and the larger Jungceylon shopping centre is in Patong, further along the island.

The Big Buddha stands on a hill 1.6 km from the resort, and Chaithararam Temple, better known as Wat Chalong, is 2.6 km away. Both are well-known sights on the island, so they fit into a half day of sightseeing. A night market is also nearby, for an evening among local stalls. Chalong Pier, on the bay of the same name, is a local ferry pier and the departure point for boats to nearby islands.

A good day could combine the Big Buddha and Wat Chalong in the morning with an afternoon on Kata Beach, about 3.2 km away, or on Karon Beach, a little further along the same coast. Phuket FantaSea, the cultural show and theme park, is a common evening out for visitors staying in this part of the island. Nai Harn Beach, about 5.8 km away, is a quieter alternative for a calm afternoon on the sand.
