Every room at cafe del sol has air conditioning and a private bathroom, and each one sleeps up to two guests. The rooms measure between 20 and 36 m², and the beds are king or queen sized.

The Deluxe Double Room with Balcony has a balcony on its 24 m² floor, and the Superior King Room has a queen bed in a 36 m² space with a private entrance. The Deluxe Room is a 20 m² room with a king bed, a private bathroom and air conditioning.

Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, and Wi-Fi also reaches the public areas. Free parking is available, and the guesthouse has a bar and a terrace.

Air conditioning is provided in the public areas, the property is smoke-free, and English, French and Thai are spoken at the guesthouse, so guests can ask for help in any of those languages.

cafe del sol is in Mae Haad, the ferry village of Ko Tao, a small island in the Gulf of Thailand that is reached by boat from the mainland. The pier is 150 m away, and the streets around it are a lively mix of dive schools, cafés and bars, with the sea never far off. Because the island is reached by sea, the last stage of any journey here is by boat. The pier, the village and the nearest beach are all within a short walk of the guesthouse.

Haad Ao Mae beach is 200 m from the guesthouse, and Sairee Beach, a long beach on the west coast of the island, is 600 m away. Koh Nang Yuan, a small island with a well-known viewpoint, lies 3.8 km away and can be reached by boat. The beach at Haad Ao Mae is the closest sand, so most of the afternoon can be spent between the water and the shade of the village streets, with the pier never more than a short stroll away.

A day could start with a swim at Haad Ao Mae, continue along Sairee Beach in the afternoon, and end with a boat trip to Koh Nang Yuan, if the sea is calm.
