By the Beach Hostel

Rooms at By the Beach Hostel are air-conditioned and fitted with blackout curtains, linens and a socket near the bed. Rooms can also have a tea and coffee maker, a microwave, an electric kettle, toiletries and towels.

The Koh Phi Phi Viewpoint, about 1.1 km away on a hill above the isthmus, gives a wide view over the bays on both sides of the village. Viking Cave, 5.3 km away on Phi Phi Leh, is a limestone cave reached by boat.

A good day here starts with the walk to the Koh Phi Phi Viewpoint, which takes in the bays from above, and continues with a boat trip from the pier to Viking Cave or the bays of Phi Phi Leh. Tours can be arranged at the hostel's tour desk, which is a simple way to book a boat trip. Back in the village, the evenings are spent along the streets, where street-food stalls and small shops line the way.
