Brickhouse

The rooms at Brickhouse cover single, double, twin and quadruple rooms, with private and shared bathrooms across the range. The Family Room, at 24 m², sleeps up to five guests with a single bed, a double bed and a bunk bed.

Several rooms have city views and air conditioning, and guest capacity runs from one person up to five. Guests can ask about extra beds, which depend on the room chosen, and baby cots are available on request.

Practical services at Brickhouse include free parking on site, with parking nearby and valet parking also offered, plus luggage storage, laundry service, daily housekeeping and a concierge service. Guests can arrange tours, and car hire, bicycles and a taxi service are available, along with an airport transfer service.

Brickhouse is on Naruesuan Road in the Tha Wa Su Kri area of Ayutthaya, a city that was the capital of Siam for more than four centuries and whose temple ruins are now a UNESCO World Heritage site. The streets close by have small shops, a pharmacy and a convenience store, and the setting is a town rather than a resort area.

The Chao Phraya River lies about 500 m away, and the Ayutthaya Train Station is 750 m off. Wat Mahathat, known for a Buddha head caught among tree roots, is 1.1 km away, while Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, the former royal temple with its three restored chedis, is 2 km off. Wat Chaiwatthanaram, a riverside temple ruin further from the centre, is 4.3 km away. The Chantharakasem National Museum, which holds art and archaeological finds from the old capital, is also close by. Bicycles and bicycle rental are offered at the property, a practical way to reach the ruins.

A full day can start at the Historic City of Ayutthaya, with its ruins spread across a wide area, then continue to the Chantharakasem National Museum for the artefacts of the old capital. In the late afternoon, a walk along the Chao Phraya River is a simple way to end the day.
