Box Poshtel

Box Poshtel offers dormitory rooms with a fan or with air conditioning, along with a double room, a twin room and a room for up to three guests. Two of the dormitories measure 10 m² and have four bunk beds each, and the double and twin rooms accommodate up to two guests.

Box Poshtel is on Phang Nga Road in Phuket Town, the island's main town, where the streets are lined with Sino-Portuguese shophouses and small museums. The area feels like a historic town rather than a beach resort, and the food stalls and street life of the old town come alive in the evenings. Walking is the easiest way to see the streets close to the hostel.

Nearby are the Phuket Philatelic Museum and the Trickeye Museum, both 50 m away, and the Baba Phuket Museum, devoted to the Peranakan heritage of the town. Wat Khao Rang, a Buddhist temple on the hill above the old town, is also close, and the Sunday Walking Street Market at Lard Yai fills the streets on Sunday nights. A Sikh gurdwara and the Masjid Yameay mosque are a short walk away, a reminder of the mixed communities that shaped the town.

Public transport stops at the Phuket Town bus station, 400 m away. Patong Beach is 10.7 km away, and Wat Chalong, one of the island's best-known temples, is 7.4 km away. The beaches and the temples are day trips from town rather than walks, and the hotel also has car hire and a taxi service. Phuket International Airport is 27 km away, and the hotel offers an airport transfer.
