Bo Phut Resort & Spa

The rooms at Bo Phut Resort & Spa measure from 50 m² to 250 m² and sleep two or three guests. There are double and twin rooms, a junior suite and garden villas, and most of them look onto the garden. Bed set-ups vary, with king beds, double beds and single beds across the rooms, and several rooms have a bathtub.

Rooms can have air conditioning, a mini bar, a refrigerator, an in-room safe and a balcony or terrace, with bathrobes, toiletries and towels in the bathroom. Some rooms also have a whirlpool bathtub, satellite or cable channels and a telephone.

The resort has an outdoor swimming pool, a children's swimming pool and a private beach, along with a fitness centre, a spa offering massage and body scrub treatments, a steam room and a hot tub. A 24-hour front desk is open, and the gift and souvenir shop and the library are on site.

For meals there is a restaurant with a la carte and Asian cuisine, a coffee shop, a poolside bar, a snack bar and room service, and food delivery is also offered. Tours can be arranged, and there is an airport transfer, a shuttle service, laundry service and table tennis.

Families can use babysitting and kids' meals, and free parking is available on site. Non-motorised water sports and diving are also offered.

Bo Phut is a former fishing village on the coast of Koh Samui, and it is quieter than Chaweng, the island's best-known beach. The resort sits among its own gardens with a private beach, and the village lanes with their shops are a short stroll away. For a slower pace than Chaweng, the village and the resort's gardens make a calm setting.

Bo Phut Beach is 200 m from the resort, and the Fisherman's Village Bophut Walking Street, 950 m away, is a street of shops and stalls in the old fishing village. The Big Buddha, a large seated Buddha statue, is 4.2 km away, and Chaweng Noi Beach, a quieter bay, is 6.8 km along the coast. Wat Plai Laem, a temple known for its large Guanyin statue, is another sight on the island. Samui Airport, 4.6 km away, is on Koh Samui itself.

A day could start with a swim at the resort's beach, continue with a walk through the fishing village in the late afternoon and end with a visit to the Big Buddha. For a change of scene, Na Muang Waterfall lies inland on the island, and the resort's non-motorised water sports and diving make the coast a good place for a morning on the water.
