The village's pier is where boats from the mainland and from Samui come in, so the ferry links are close at hand.

Ko Tao is best known as a diving destination, and the hotel offers diving and tours, which reflects that reputation. Sairee Beach, the island's best-known beach, is 650 m away. The Welcome to Koh Tao Turtle Monument and the Rama V Shrine, a shrine to King Chulalongkorn (Rama V), are a short distance from the hotel, and the Thai Inter Medical Clinic Koh Tao is also close by. Koh Nang Yuan, an islet 3.9 km away, is a well-known spot for snorkelling.

A day on Ko Tao can begin with a dive and end at John - Suwan Mountain View Point, 2.7 km away, a lookout over the island. Arriving by air means Samui Airport (USM), 65 km away on Samui, and then a boat to Ko Tao, since the island has no bridge.
