Ko Pha-ngan is an island, so the journey in is by boat, and once on the island the beaches and temples are reached by road.

Salad Beach, a sandy bay, is 3.6 km away, and the island is known for its full moon parties at Haad Rin, which is a different part of the island.
A day could start with a swim at Ao Sri Thanu, continue to Salad Beach by road and end with the sunset at the viewpoint.
