Thong Nai Pan Yai is one of two neighbouring bays on Ko Pha-ngan, a Thai island in the Gulf of Thailand with no bridge to the mainland, so the island is reached by boat. The villa is about 600 m from Thong Nai Pan Yai Beach, and the setting combines the sea with the jungle that surrounds the bay. The bay has a convenience store, a clinic and a cash machine within about a kilometre, so everyday needs are close at hand.

Several places lie close to the villa. Than Prawet Waterfall is within a short walk, and Wat Thong Nai Pan, a Buddhist pagoda, is nearby. Than Sadet waterfall is 2.9 km away inland, and Ao Chaloklum Bay, with its own beach and village, lies 5.8 km away on the island. For flights, Samui Airport is 24.7 km away on Ko Samui, while the mainland airport at Surat Thani is further still.

A good day can start on Thong Nai Pan Yai Beach and the nearby waterfall, then take in the pagoda before a longer trip to Than Sadet or Ao Chaloklum Bay. Both give a different view of the island, one inland and one on the coast, so the two trips are quite different.
