Black Pantera Hostel

Every room at Black Pantera Hostel has air conditioning, and the private rooms come with their own bathroom with shower and toiletries. Private rooms sleep from two up to five guests, while the mixed dormitory rooms, between 45 and 60 m², offer one bed per guest.

Balconies or terraces are part of some rooms, and a streaming service like Netflix and flat-screen TVs feature in several of the private rooms. Blackout curtains and linens are provided in the dormitory rooms.

The bar offers happy hour, with BBQ facilities, a vending machine and food delivery also available at the hostel. There is also a games room with billiards and board games, a fitness centre with modern exercise machines and free weights, and on-site entertainment.

Diving, snorkelling, fishing, tours, bicycles and car hire are offered, and the hostel also has currency exchange, lockers, luggage storage and daily housekeeping. Terraces are part of the common areas, and the bar and the games room are the two places where the social life of the hostel gathers.

Free Wi-Fi covers the rooms and public areas, and free parking is available. Laundry and ironing services are offered, along with private check-in and check-out.

Black Pantera Hostel is in Patong, the lively beach town on Phuket, in the Tombon Patong area of Kathu. The beach is a few hundred metres away, and the streets around the hostel are lined with bars and night stalls, so the area stays busy into the evening, with a night market close by and the beach only a short stroll from the streets of bars and shops.

Bangla Road, 400 m away, is the street where Patong's nightlife is concentrated, and the beach area is lined with hotels and bars. Further afield, Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong), 6.4 km away, is one of the island's most important temples, and the Big Buddha, 7.1 km away, sits on a hill with a large white statue.

Phuket International Airport is 24.6 km away, and the island's roads connect Patong with the temples in the south, so a car or taxi is the usual way to reach them. Both Wat Chalong and the Big Buddha lie south of Patong, so they make a single outing. A good day starts with the temples at Wat Chalong and the Big Buddha in the morning, then a return to Patong for the beach and the night market in the evening.
