The Surat Thani Night Market is 17.5 km away, and the historic temple of Wat Phra Borommathat Chaiya Worawihan, in Chaiya, is a longer excursion from the hotel. Surat Thani is also the usual starting point for trips to Ko Samui and Ko Phangan, which are reached by boat.
