BearPacker Patong Hostel

The rooms at BearPacker Patong Hostel range from mixed dormitory rooms with bunk beds to budget single rooms and private rooms. Some rooms have a private bathroom and others share one.

Several rooms have air conditioning and blackout curtains, and the Deluxe King Room of 23 m² has a flat-screen TV and an electric kettle. Hair dryers and towels are provided in many of the rooms, and linens are provided in several of the dormitory and single rooms.

The hostel has an outdoor swimming pool, a 24-hour front desk, a lift and a terrace, and air conditioning in its public areas. Guests can use the shared lounge and TV area, the game room, the lockers and the luggage storage, and daily housekeeping is provided. A laundry service is available.

Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, and Wi-Fi is also available in the public areas. The hostel also offers internet services, copying and fax services, tours, and activities such as canoeing, diving, fishing and snorkelling.

The staff speak English and Thai. Lockers and luggage storage are available for guests' belongings, and the shared lounge and game room are open to all guests during the stay. The outdoor swimming pool is one of the main shared facilities.

Patong is one of Phuket's busiest beach towns, and BearPacker Patong Hostel sits on Thaweewong Road, a short walk from Patong Beach, the town's main stretch of sand. The streets around the hostel are lively in the evenings, with bars, restaurants and shops, and night markets are close by. Visitors can walk to the beach and to the shops. Patong Beach is a wide sandy beach where the town's beach life, from sunbathing to watersports, takes place.

Bangla Road, the town's nightlife street, is 300 m away, and Jungceylon Shopping Center, 550 m away, has shops and dining in the middle of Patong. Freedom Beach is a quiet cove 3.2 km away on the headland, and Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong), one of the island's most important temples, is 7 km away.

A day could start with a swim at Patong Beach, continue with the evening on Bangla Road, and end with a visit to the Big Buddha, a large statue on a hilltop. Wat Chalong and the Big Buddha are usually reached by taxi or hired car from Patong. For fresh food and everyday goods, the Banzaan Fresh Market is 800 m away, and the streets around it stay busy well into the night.
