Baythani Samui Resort

Baythani Samui Resort has accommodation from standard and deluxe rooms and a family room to wooden villas and a villa that sleeps up to five guests. Rooms can have air conditioning, a desk, a mini bar, a refrigerator, a balcony or terrace, and satellite channels on the TV.

Some rooms have a partial sea view, and bathrooms have a bathtub or a shower depending on the room. The family room has a whirlpool bathtub, and free bottled water is provided in several rooms. Capacity runs from two to five guests, and the family room sleeps up to four. Bedding varies from one room to another, so the bed set-up depends on the room you book.

The resort has an outdoor swimming pool and an indoor swimming pool, plus a children's pool and a garden. Lamai is a long sandy beach on Koh Samui, with a village of small bars and shops along the road behind the sand. The beach is about 500 m from Baythani Samui Resort, and the village's bars and food stalls are close by.

Lamai Night Market is 1.1 km away, and the granite rocks of Hin Ta & Hin Yai, known as Grandma and Grandpa Rocks, stand on a headland nearby. The Na Muang Waterfall, in the hills 5.6 km away, is a popular place for a swim, and the Big Buddha, 12.2 km away, is a large seated statue. Getting around Koh Samui is usually by scooter, car or taxi, and Samui Airport, 9.8 km away, is on the island itself.

A good day could start with a swim at Lamai Beach, followed by a walk to the rocks at the headland and an evening at the night market. The waterfall and the Big Buddha make a longer day trip from the resort, and Fisherman's Village, a former fishing village, now has shops and restaurants. Other beaches on the island, such as Chaweng Noi and Silver Beach, can also be reached by road for a change from the sand at Lamai.
